Balance Therapy

Balance is achieved by 3 systems.
  1. The Vestibular system (your inner ear)
  2. The Visual system
  3. The Somatosensory system (your sense of joint awareness, light touch and position)

Our balance can become difficult when any of the systems above become impaired.
This could include such diagnosis as:
  • Peripheral neuropathy affecting your ability to feel the surface you are walking on
  • Visual changes after a head injury or other neurologic disorder
  • Vestibular disorders (inner ear disorders)
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • MS
  • Post-concussive syndrome
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • General weakness
